Details:

The museum is on Paseo del Prado. Its permanent collection is a must for art lovers. Among the over 1,000 works, you'll find pieces from the Italian primitives, the Flemish, the Renaissance, American art of the 19th century and just about all the avant-gardes of the start of the 20th century.

You can also visit temporary exhibitions. These reveal a different perspective and delve more deeply in art and the artists or movements. Choose your journey and enjoy it with a fellow art aficionado courtesy of the Vuelve a Madrid programme. Exchange 400 Puntos Madrid for two tickets valid for both the permanent collection and the temporary exhibition!

Conditions:

Show your coupon (printed) at the ticket office, and you'll get two tickets for you and a friend courtesy of Puntos Madrid. You must show photo ID.

The tickets are valid for the public collection and the temporary exhibition. For the temporary exhibition, you'll be given a pass for a particular time (entry every 15 minutes). You'll be given the first slot available when you exchange your coupon at the ticket office.

Permanent Collection opening times:

- Monday: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
. Free entry.
- Tuesday to Sunday:
 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Temporary exhibitions opening times:

- Monday: closed.
- Tuesday to Sunday: 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
- Saturday: 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Last entry and closing times:

- Latest entry one hour before closing.
- Visitors are asked to leave five minutes before closing time.
- Offer valid until the end of February 2019.

Durero, Rafael, Tiziano, Rubens, Rembrandt, Caravaggio, Manet, Renoir, Cézanne, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Kandinsky, Picasso, Hopper, Rothko,... The long list of great figures in the permanent collection is extraordinary. You'll find all Western art movements represented in the museum's galleries, with works from the 13th and 14th century up until the last decades of the 20th century. The Italian primitives, the German Renaissance, American paintings of the 19th century and just about all the "-isms" of the start of the 20th century. 

The temporary expositions are a chance to explore particular aspects of art, artist monographs, movements, etc. These exhibitions are unique and one-offs.
